On Surveillance Station, you can specify any region or a hemispheric area (180°) to dewarp a fisheye image, into one that can be comprehended by human eyes. The dewarped image can be divided into a multiple channels for you to view simultaneously.

Patrol Guard

Complete PTZ Support

Surveillance Station supports complete PTZ functions with panning, tilting and zooming (optical and digital) to IP cameras to accommodate to different situations. With multiple PTZ cameras setup in one place, you can cover more blind spots. You can preset different PTZ positions and setup a patrol route in a predefined area.

Patrol on Schedule

Use Guard Wizard to set up a schedule patrol that starts recording when an event is triggered. You can select event type from Continuous, Motion Detection, Alarm, or Motion Detection and Alarm. So when you’re out, your PTZ camera can guard your place via a patrol route with different preset angles. And when something suspicious occurs, like someone walking into your office in the wrong time, recording will trigger.

Simply connect your IP cameras to your local network and follow the steps in the installation wizard. You can use Quick Setup to install a camera with optimal settings, or customize your own configurations. And even when you’re constructing a larger-scale deployment, you can still add batches of cameras as intuitive as adding one individual camera.

Privilege & Security

Administrators & Spectators

In Surveillance Station, everyone that has a DSM user account to log in and watch live feeds or recorded events - as a spectator. However, only the administrator account or users belong to the administrator group can have the power to edit privilege and camera settings. So you can create different privilege profiles and apply them to different group of users. For example, apply the All-Camera-Manager privilege profile to all regional managers, and All-Camera-Spectator to employees.

Secured Connection

Monitoring your environment on your computer or mobile device is safe and secure. Available as a package in Package Center, Surveillance Station can be accessed from a direct login portal. It supports HTTPS and SSL/TLS connection, so whenever you log into Surveillance Station your connection is secure and is less likely to be intruded by others.

Recording

Recording is not just playback of past events on Surveillance Station. It’s intelligent. There are five modes of recording in which it’ll start by itself when something is triggered. Recording can also be run automatically by setting up a schedule. All your recordings can be “recycled” to make more space for new ones.

Manual

In Live View, you can click the record button located on control panel to start a recording session. You can manually stop the recording by clicking it. The recording will also stop when it reaches a limit on your storage space. Manual recording is agile as it’s completely controlled by you.

Continuous

Continuous recording overruns any pre-set event trigger or system settings. The recording continues non-stop until it meets the end of its schedule session, or when the storage space is insufficient. If you are faced with mission-critical occasions, continuous recording is a great way to make sure that nothing will be missed.

Motion Detection

Motion Detection is triggered when movement is detected. You can customize a detection area and adjust attributes like detection sensitivity, threshold, object size and trigger percentage to help you pin down the target more precisely. Even if your IP camera doesn’t support motion detection, you can still use this feature which is powered by Surveillance Station.

Alarm

Alarm recording is similar to motion detection recording, as both are triggered by an event. It works when there’s electric current going into the IP camera. In practice, the electric current might come from a device attached to your front door, and when the door is opened, the device will signal the current to the camera, which in turn triggers recording.

Alarm with Motion Detection

This type of recording combines both alarm and motion detection recording, and is designed to reduce false alarms. Since alarm and motion detection use different ways to trigger recording, normally they will be deployed in different locations to cover any blind spot. The timing to which the recording is triggered is dependent on which mode detects action first.

Schedule & Archive

Surveillance Station allows you to create a 24/7 recording schedule. You can also customize with different types of recording modes for different times of a week. For example, you can set motion detection from 6 to 12, and continuous recording all the way until the next morning. There’s also the Archive Rotation system to keep your space available for newer events.
